"Religion that God our Father accept as pure and undefiled is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world".
James 1:27
In our congregation we have a large number of needy families, new immigrants & single mothers. In addition, we are helping the holocaust survivors of Kfar Saba, and now due to the war, displaced families and soldiers.
Needy families
Some of our needy families are new immigrants coming from different countries. Usually broken hearted, they feel abandoned and lonely, as they often deal with unemployment or legal issues. Our support is in all of these areas: practical, financial, spiritual and emotional. We stand with them, according to the needs. We provide counseling, special courses, teaching and discipleship. In addition, we can pay for their studies giving them a profession thus being able in due to stand on their own. Our goal is to help the needy families to know God as their Father from generation to generation. In addition, we help them go to the summer camps where they can be built up in their faith and learn to have a deeper relationship with Yeshua. Now, due to the war, our government is not able to take care of the widows & orphans as it should.
The Bible is full of commandments exhorting the nation of Israel to take care of the needy, and says that God will withdraw his blessings from the nation who withdraws justice from the widows (Deut 27:19). God blesses those who care for widows but curses those who do not. “The widow who is within your gates, shall come, and eat and be satisfied, that the Lord your God may bless you…” Deut 14:29. We must support the widows and the orphans and do what we can to bring their justice to the light. As believers, we want to demonstrate to them the same compassion and protection that God has for them.
Holocaust Survivors
In their twilight years, we have the privilege of helping the Holocaust Survivors of our area here in Kfar Saba. Now in their 90’s with some of them centurions, they are about to enter eternity. Our hope and prayer is for them to enter into heaven through the Blood of Yeshua. Meeting with them in a one on one basis as well as get-togethers during our holidays, we are able to practically share the love of Yeshua.
“I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance” (Luke 15:7)
Displaced Families and Soldiers
Ever since October 7, 2023, our nation has been under immense pressure financially and emotionally. Thousands of families have been displaced, unable to return to their homes now over a year. When they return home, it is either demolished or severely damaged due to the war. We provide them food coupons, furniture, school materials etc. We also organize creativity workshops to help them heal from trauma. Soldiers who have to go to war leave behind families who are now having to balance life with only one parent. Worse yet, if that soldier falls in battle, the family then Becomes a single-parent home. In addition, our country is now overwhelmed with shock and trauma from the war.
While the need is great, our God is greater! Through your prayers and financial support, we are able to meet the needs whether immediate or long-standing.
Our motivation is to obey our Lord Yeshua who said: “I was hungry and you fed Me, ..I was naked and you clothed Me.. I was lonely and you visited Me..” (Mat.25). and
our vision is: "From guilt to forgiveness, from despair to hope, from shame to honor."
